Latin Grammy nominated percussionist, drummer and music producer Hussein Abdala was born in Barranquilla, Colombia where he began his career. At a very early age “Huss” was influenced by great drummers and percussionists that inspired him to him to continue his musical journey. While in Colombia, Huss studied the roots of Afro-Colombian folkloric music as well as other Caribbean and World rhythms that helped him create a unique style that is innovative, fresh and aggressive.
Current Huss lives in Miami where he has participated in concerts and recordings with artists like Paula Zuleta (Latin Grammy nominated), Alberto Barros (Gold and Platinum recordings), David Visbal, Reik, Kany Garcia, Elvis Crespo, Oscar D’ Leon, Luis Enrrique, Jerry Rivera, Victor Manuel, Prince Royce, Los Hermanos Moreno, Tommy Ruiz, EddySantiago, Samuel Del Real, Charlie Cardona, Cuco Valoy, Andy Montanez, Cali Aleman, KY Latina Project, David Pavon, Maelo Ruiz, Alex Leon, Nelson Pinedo, Lefty Perez, Johnny Ventura, Mickey Tavera, Juan Carlos Coronel, Tania de Venezuela, and Elastic Bond.
Huss plays the timbales in Alberto Barros orchestra Tributo a la Salsa Colombia (Colombia all Star) with which he tours the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, Curacao, Peru, Panama, Dominican Republic and Europe.
