MEINL PERCUSSION RAISES THE BAR... OVER AGAIN

Greetings from our German headquarters - we wish you all the best for 2012!
I proudly can say that we are very optimistic for the new year due to our felicitous novelties. We have more than 60 new items that we are going to introduce at the upcoming NAMM show in sunny California next week!
Yes, we raised the bar over again :-)
We have so many new high-lights that I find it difficult to call one a favorit. But I definitely love the new ARTISAN EDITION CAJONS and the ARTISAN EDITION TAMBOURINES - real gems!!!
The new SLAP-TOP CAJON which allows the player many great possibilities is also very cool... It's just like a drum kit on your lap and absolutely comfortable to play - make sure to check it out!
Same for the MARACLAVES, the MULTI-JINGLE STICK, or the UNIVERSAL TRIANGLE! Man, I could go on and on...
Just visit our booth if you have a chance (NAMM show, Anaheim, booth #3454). We'll be happy to show you our new inventions.
MEINL artist Joannie Labelle will be at our booth, helping me to demonstrate the new instruments.

Dear readers,
We are back with a fresh sign of life!
In the past months I've been busy with the creation of our new catalog, which is done by now... finally! I have a draft in front of me and we will go into print this weekend. I don't want to tell you too much about it, but I can say it's looking good ;-)
But of course, the singlemost important factor is the NEW assortment!

We've cooked up lots of new inventions and innovations and elaborated them with uncompromising craftsmanship for the most discerning of players!
The catalog and all new instruments will be introduced at the upcoming NAMM show in Anaheim - sunny California. You'll find us at booth #3454.

first of april and already so much new stuff in the pipepline!
two weeks ago, i went to bangkok, visiting our factories and started working on new products and ideas. lots of great stuff coming in 2012. i am very excited about it and i can't wait to check out first prototypes...
besides new products, we are also working on new product videos for our whole percussion line. we will start producing them within the next weeks. this is going to be a huge project, but i am looking forward to it.
but first of all is the annual MUSIKMESSE in frankfurt, coming up next week. we are going to expose a wide selection of our instruments and we will have meinl artist ELLEN MAYER performing at our booth # 3.0 C18.
also, our journey series rope tuned fiberglass djembes are nominated for the MIPA award - cross your fingers!
looking forward to seeing some of you in frankfurt!

i feel very thankful and happy that 2010 was another successful year for meinl percussion. we've reached many targets and i know that we are on the right track with our focus. i'm looking forward to presenting you all our new work in january 2011!

i am very excited about the new 2011 catalog!
almost all new products are already photographed and are now flushing through the litho. all texts are written and our focus is clear!
last weekend, i returned from thailand where i took some nice photos for some special features... awesome pics and they will top our new brochure. yesterday i came up with another great idea that just needs to be implemented.
for me, it's really exciting putting the pieces together and seeing the result becoming yet another efficient marketing tool.
btw - our new agency's doing a great job! the workflow is smooth and surprising quick.
"läuft" as we germans say ;-)
next big project will be the prearrangement for the upcoming NAMM show, but first things first.
that's it for now. stay tuned and keep the beat...

dear friends,
i hope you're all well and happy... enjoying the last sunny days in 2010!
it's been a bit quiet the last weeks, but this doesn't mean that we've been lazy.
we created a bunch of new instruments and did some small but smart modifications on existing models. we were gathering so many new ideas that we couldn't realize all of them for the 2011 MEINL book of percussion. this is sad, but i have to keep deadlines and every prototype that isn't 100% satisfying can't be approved.
thanks to everybody out there for your inspiration, ideas, and suggestions. it's very much appreciated! i hope you'll be proud of the result.
right now, i am working on the new catalog, putting the pieces together... that's an exhausting but interesting job! can't wait to hold the final version in my hands. but it's still a few miles to go...
i'll keep you in the loop!

PROJECT PLANNING IN BANGKOK

last day in our office before we close for a one week company vacation.
nice, isn't it?
next week i'll fly to bangkok to discuss all new projects with our partners over there. i'm happy that the political situation has calmed down somewhat. no more riots in the streets... i also could have told them by skype and email, but sitting around one table with the prototypes in front of us is always the best way to get things done.
there are many promising projects we are currently working on. so let's see what we got in the end.
i wish you all a happy spring/summer time!
