Not in the mind of samba appears Maracatù hypnotic. Practicularly when it's played with the classical stuff, like the costumes, which remind of the time at 1800.

Samba-Reggae occured about 1985 as a musical expression in the afro-brasilian north-east of Brazil.
Afoxé/Ijexá
Afoxè isn't a rhythm, it's a attitude to life and emanated from the afro-brasilian candomblè-religion. The cultic form is called Ijexà.
