Bongos
Staves are matched for colour and grain.
The staves are laid up with glue.
After being glued, the staves are assembled into a hollow wooden block by hand.
The Macho and Hembra are cut into two separate pieces.
Precision is a must.
The footing profile is also cut on the lathe.
The surface and edges are hand-sanded.
The surface and edges are hand-sanded.
Our proprietary Free Ride System allows the bongo to resonate freely because there are no bolts or holes drilled through the shells.
