This Free Ride Designer Series Bongo matches Taku Hirano´s playing style: elegant, captivating and versatile.
The bongo is proudly emblazoned with the Japanese Mitsudomoe symbol, representing Man, Earth, and Heaven. The symbol became associated with the Samuri ethos, and with the art of drumming itself.

Taku explains, "The Mitsudomoe symbol has always resounded with me in that it was a link to my heritage and synonymous to not only the warrios of Japan, but also the drummers of Japan. After doing research and finding out that it was adopted by a king with the same name as myself, and that it symbolized upholding honor to the highest degree, I knew that it chose me as much as I chose it"

The bongo comes with our MEINL Free Ride Suspension System (German patent), black powder coated hardware, hand selected buffalo heads, 8 mm strong tuning lugs, 2.5 mm rounded SSR-Rims, accessory pouch, L-shaped tuning key and a tune up oil.

The MEINL Headliner Series Bongo Stands combine easy handling and functionality with reliability and sturdy construction. A newly desinged bracket enables extremly quick and easy mounting, yet holds the entire bongo securely in place.

From now on the MEINL Headliner Series Bongo Stand is also available in a black version (THBS-BK).

The MEINL Headliner Designer Series Djembes are a great all-around lug tuned djembes, perfect for drum circles and spontaneous jam sessions. One of the newest models comes in our trendy Army Issue Finish (HDJ600AI).

The djembe is equipped with 8 mm strong tuning lugs, 2 mm rounded rims, original MEINL style tuning brackets, black powder coated hardware, hand selected goat heads and a tuning key.
