The MEINL Headliner Designer Series Djembes are a great all-around lug tuned djembes, perfect for drum circles and spontaneous jam sessions. One of the newest models comes in our trendy Kilt Finish (HDJ600KF).

The djembe is equipped with 8 mm strong tuning lugs, 2 mm rounded rims, original MEINL style tuning brackets, black powder coated hardware, hand selected goat heads and a tuning key.

The new grey MEINL U.F.O. Shaker (SH21GR) has a crisper sound with more volume. This version cuts through loud environments and is therefore perfect for live acts. 

These new NINO Tunable Hand Drums feature our replaceable True Feel synthetic head for special durability and great feeling.

Those Marathon Designer Series Congas match Taku Hirano´s playing style: elegant, captivating and versatile. The congas are proudly emblazoned with the Japanese Mitsudomoe symbol, representing Man, Earth, and Heaven. The symbol became associated with the Samuri ethos, and with the art of drumming itself.

Taku explains, "The Mitsudomoe symbol has always resounded with me in that it was a link to my heritage and synonymous to not only the warriors of Japan, but also the drummers of Japan. After doing research and finding out that it was adopted by a king with the same name as myself, and that is symbolized upholding honor to the highest degree, I knew that it chose me as much as I chose it."

The congas are equipped with True Skin Buffalo Heads, 8 mm strong tuning lugs, 2.6 mm rounded SSR-Rims, and black powder coated hardware.
Each conga comes with our Steely II Conga Stands (patented), MEINL Conga Saver (patented), accessory pouch, L-shaped tuning key, and a tune up oil.

The new MEINL String Cajon (CAJ3BMB-M) comes with a Black Makah Burl frontplate. All of our string cajons feature a built-in adjustable sizzle effect. Strings which touch the frontplate on the inside and span from top to bottom, deliver a sensitive rattle that can be adjusted to fit various musical applications. The patented integrated string mute system controls the tension of the strings and ensures a dry and crisp sizzle effect.

This cajon is also available bundled with bag (CAJ3BMB-M+BAG).

Here at MEINL Percussion, we have developed our own True Feel synthetic heads especially for our frame drums, tambourines, and other hand drums. The lightly textured surface is both attractive and comfortable to play in any technique or style. True Feel heads are not reactive to moisture, so that assures a consistent tuning in all conditions. The tones are warm and bright, without excessive high frequency. Highly sensitive and refined play is possible with True Feel.
