Adam Wiencken

Adam Wiencken is the Percussion Specialist for Broken Arrow Public Schools in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  As Director of Percussion and Battery Arranger for the Pride of Broken Arrow Marching Band, the ensemble is a consistent Bands of America (BOA) Regional Champion and Grand National Finalist.  The Pride of Broken Arrow was the BOA Grand National Runner-Up in 2012 and 2014, and was the 2014 BOA Grand National Class AAAA Champion. In 2011 and 2015 The Pride of Broken Arrow was named the BOA Grand National Champion.

Adam has been a percussion staff member at The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps since 2013. In 2013, The Cadets were awarded the Drum Corps International (DCI) Fred Sanford Award for High Percussion Performance. He previously served on the instructional staff for the Santa Clara Vanguard, Troopers, and Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps.

Adam is an alumnus of the Madison Scouts and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps.Adam received his Bachelor's at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.  Throughout his studies at Indiana, Adam studied with John Tafoya, Kevin Bobo, Steve Houghton, and Craig Hetrick.  While at Indiana, Adam taught as a percussion staff member with the Center Grove High School Indoor Drumline, which was the Scholastic World Silver Medalist at the Winter Guard International (WGI) Championships in 2009.

Adam is an active percussion arranger for various ensembles throughout the country, representing groups in Oklahoma, Indiana, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, and Tennessee. In addition, he serves as an adjudicator for various indoor percussion and marching band circuits throughout the United States.
