Biography
For more than 20 years, Alex Magni had a successful career as a full-time musician and tutor, from working with some of Portugal’s top jazz musicians to touring with Brazilian and Portuguese pop artists and bands. Since 2014, he has performed and recorded in the UK in a variety of musical settings, acquiring experience in several areas of the music industry.
Alex endorses Meinl Percussion instruments, Bosphorus Cymbals and Aquarian Drumheads, for whom he has demonstrated products at trade shows such as Namm (USA) and Musikmesse (Germany). Alex has also facilitated many successful workshops alongside regular live performance work.
Teaching drums and percussion has always been one of Alex’s mains vocations and passions. Throughout the years, his experience teaching in music schools, college, schools and privately has helped develop key concepts on how to better facilitate music education and improve student experiences.
