What is a Facilitator?
A facilitator creates an inclusive atmosphere in the Drum Circle in which everyone feels comfortable and can freely develop their own sense of rhythm. He or she leads and accompanies at the same time. We are proud to work together with our facilitators and spread rhythm worldwide.

Miguel Cortes Montero Biography

Miguel Cortes is a Chilean born percussionist. At the age of seven, at an amateur level, the interest in music and playing music began until he reached the age of 17, where he then pursued serious studies through private lessons. In 2005 he enrolled in Arcis University, in Santiago de Chile where he entered   the Latin Percussion Instrumental Interpreter program, which he completed in 2011 with his thesis “Estudios de solos para percusion latina” (Latin percussion solos studies). That same year he traveled to the United States to further develop techniques and styles with Robert Quintero and Edwin Bonilla. In 2012 he traveled to San Juan, Puerto Rico to study with conga master David “La Mole” Ortiz who taught  musicians  such as Giovanni Hidalgo, Anthony Carrillo, Jimmy Morales  and many others talented  musicians. Professionally he has worked  with  the  following bands: Santiago All Stars, Natalino, Chancho en Piedra, Maria Jose Quintanilla, Kalipso Orquesta, Rene Arangua, Los Rumberos del 900, Peter Rock, Festival Orquestras (San Bernardo, Talagante, Lonquen, etc.), NegroSon Orquesta, Jazz Festivals of La Serena, Talca, Quilicura, Las Condes, etc. Also Songo Band, Daniel Lavalle  y la Tribu del Saoco, Barrio  en Clave, Descarga Chilena Latin Jazz All Stars, Metropolitan Salsa Orchestra, Combo Ginebra, Circus latin Groove, Rumbaié, Orquesta Cañandonga, El Negro Delicioso, Maxy Alarcon, Roque Santero, Antoine Alvear quinteto, Metropolis Big Band, Projazz Big Band, Magaly Acevedo, Cristian Muñoz Septeto, The Sharkicanns, and other jazz ensembles. As a session musician he played  with Jerry Rivera (Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires,  Argentina  2011), Maelo Ruiz, Los Adolescentes, Tito Rojas, Jose Alberto “El Canario” Tour 2011 (Buenos Aires, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay), Caña Brava.  Curently  he  is working in his own projects; a rumba group called “Tambores Agobá”, as well as imparting percussion master classes.
