We are very excited to share these new videos from Jorge Perez, a MEINL artist from Spain.
Jorge is one of the most popular young players in the Spanish jazz scene and also one of the very few percussionist that doubles professionally in drums and percussion. His style is eclectic, a mixture of traditions from Spain, Cuba and the U.S. with modern drumming techniques and a language that is distinctive and desired but band leaders and producers.
Recently we met with Jorge in Lima when we were both attending the International Cajon Festival that the late Rafael Santa Cruz produced. In this festival Jorge was able to gain respect from the fellow peruvian Cajon players and even recorded in some local projects with his flamenco Cajon so another fusion of traditions happened.
We sincerely hope you enjoy these as much as we have.
