Biography

Grammy winner artist Ademir was born on November 14, 1980 in Panama, and from a family of musicians, he began studying percussion at the age of 4 and playing professionally at the age of 12 with the Orchestra of his late father Félix Antonio Berrocal Pérez. He began his musical studies at the Estelina Tejeira School of Music in the town of Penonomé and then continued at the Conservatory of Music of Panama City Classical Percussion. He also studied at the University of Panama, at the Faculty of Fine Arts, in the Bachelor of Music Education. Ademir has worked with RUBEN BLADES, WILLY COLON, DANILO PEREZ, GILBERTO SANTA ROSA, CARLOS VIVES, CALLE 13, RAICES Y CULTURA, LOS MARAVILLOS, CHRISTINA AGUILERA, MARC ANTHONY, OSCAR DE LEON, among others.
With RUBEN BLADES & ROBERTO DELGADO BAND Ademir has been able to tour record in two international productions with which he won 5 Latin Grammys and 3 American Grammys. Ademir also participated in the most recent album "Cumbiana" by Carlos Vives obtaining 3 Latin Grammys.
During his career, Ademir has played on some remarkable stages like the Hollywood Bowl, Madison Square Garden, Lincoln Center, Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and many more.
He currently has his own musical studio BERROCAL BROS STUDIO, as well as his musical project called Ademir Berrocal & PindinSon, where he mixes our typical popular accordion music with salsa and other musical genres.
