Barbaro Crespo aka Machito Biography

Barbaro Crespo aka Machito is a distinguished creator with a unique musical language & master percussion skills. Over his 15-year career he has performed at numerous festivals and popular international events. From 2013 to 2022, he was part of Cuban renowned rumba group Osain del Monte. He participated in the Franco-Cuban afro-jazz project 'Que Vola' from 2017 to 2020. Since 2021 he's been part of the jazz trio Ílú that won the prestigious Jazz Juniors competition in 2022. Machito continues to develop his own musical projects, collaborate with other artists and perform on international stages.
