meet the artist Felipe Fagundes

Felipe is a drummer and percussionist born in southern Brazil and based in Nice, South of France. His strong passion for music and drumming began at the age of 12 when he started a career as a child artist in 1994 playing alongside his two brothers, Diego and Marcos. With their band ‘Chapa’ they recorded four albums and spent 15 years touring around South America and Europe.

 

In 2009 Felipe moved to London-UK to receive formal education and was awarded a Higher Diploma in Drums from The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance and a first prize of the best drummer. Successively, he earned a Masters's degree (MMus) in Music Performance from Kingston University London. During 7 years in the UK, Felipe performed with several artists from all over the world and started to teach. It was the moment he understood more about his real purpose… to teach his passion, drums, and percussion!

 

Following this idea, Felipe created cajonmaster.com where he offers online education for Cajon players of all levels.
