Biography
Born in the city of Ipatinga – MG Brazil, Isac began playing guitar at three years old while listening to the classics of choro and samba and began playing drums at five years old. His earliest influences were his mother (guitarist and vocalist of Samba e Choro) as well as his whole family, as most of them are musicians.
Since his formative years, Isac has worked with several bands and singers from Brazil, including several nationally renowned artists. He has appeared on more than 80 albums produced in Brazil.
After having participated in workshops and master classes, Isac founded the JAMBA Battery Institute, known throughout Brazil as Portas Abertas. The institute currently has more than 60 enrolled students.
Currently Isac Jamba lives in Iowa and has been spreading his message of Brazilian music throughout the United States and the rest of the world through his incredible Instagram channel.
