Peter Stavrum Nielsen
Biography
Peter Stavrum Nielsen is a Danish drummer graduate from the Royal MusicAcademy in Silkeborg, Denmark.
Two weeks after graduation Peter landed a role in the international show "Stomp" which he performed with extensively for 6 years around the globe.
Peter performed with Stomp at the closing ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics.
After being on the road and living abroad for 6 years he moved back to Copenhagen, Denmark, and co/founded the group Body Rhythm Factory, the group have performed over 500 concerts in Europe and Touring China twice. In 2013 they won The Young Audience Music Award for best production in the world for kids and youth.
Peter also had the honor of doing a Ted talk called “ From sound to joy" at the 2016 TEDx event in Arendal, Norway.
Today, Peter performs with Funky Currywurst Brothers, The French show ´Kolok´, Body Rhythm Factory & solo as Pete Percussive Playful.
