Biography
Born in the Dominican Republic on October 5th, 1983 in the city of Santo Domingo.
From an early age he was curious about music and percussion, he grew up listening to good salsa and watching how the timbaleros and percussionists that his father (Rafael Berroa) took to the humble neighborhood of Haina 12, performed with good taste.
From there he awakens his passion and love for percussion, he is a self-taught musician.
In 2003 he began to work for the best groups and soloists of the country in both Merengue and Salsa: Julian Oro Duro, Peña Suazo, Omega, Kinito Mendez, El Jeffrey, La Coco Band, among others.
Salseros : David Kda,Asdrubal,Sexsapeal,Yiyo Sarante,El Clasicon.
In 2012 he decided to form his group "Chiquito Team Band" with Enmanuel Frias, producer, arranger and his partner.
In 2014 the group CHIQUITO TEAM BAND won in 2014 as revelation of the year in the Soberano awards which is the most important award of the Dominican Republic, then they won 4 more times as Salsero of the year, in 2017, 2018 the group was nominated for the Billboard awards as best duo or tropical group, in 2018 they were also nominated for the Latin Grammy for best Salsa album.
