Biography
Falko Eckey is a german drummer and teacher, born and raised in Osthofen in the southwest of Germany.
He started playing the piano at the age of 6, before he started to pursue his real passion, playing the drums, at the age of 13.
From the beginning he played in bands of different styles. After graduating from high school he studied drums for jazz and popular music in Frankfurt.
Besides his passion to play live, he discovered his enthusiasm for teaching at a very early age. In 2003 he founded his, thanks to social media and a growing online presence, nationally known drum school, the GROOVEKISTE.
But also live and on records you can still see and hear Falko Eckey. Since 2004 he has been playing in his Swing, Jive & Rock'n'Roll Band THE NANNYS, which is well known all over Europe.
