Samuel Wootton (1988 - Germany) is a jazz and classical percussionist. He is a free-spirited musician moving happily between diverse genres as a soloist, sideman, orchestral and studio player. As such he has worked with the NDR Bigband, the HR Bigband, the Münchener Rundfunkorchester and the Münchener Gärtnerplatzorchester, aswell as with renowned artists including Trilok Gurtu, Nils Landgren, Nicola Conte, Peter Sadlo and Fünf Sterne Delux.
Samuel Wootton is one of the four brains and leading performers in his band TOYTOY, and is percussionist in the band SLATEC and for the musical 'Lion King'.
Concert tours have taken him to Kenia, Nepal, the USA, Russia, China, Malta, Egypt und Oman.
Samuel Wootton was awarded the 'Kulturkreis Gasteig Musikpreis' and the 'Krach and Getöse Musikpreis'. He held scholarships from the 'Andechser Orff-Akademie des Münchener Rundfunkorchesters' and from the 'Oscar und Vera Ritter Stiftung'.
